Ja'mon's artistic background is a lengthy and varied one that began when he was a child discovering Marvel trace and color books while shopping with his parents. After tapping into the world of superheroes, Ja'mon had an eye on another medium that was just as large in life - architecture. While spending time at his grandparents' house, he would sneak into the living room and fall into the wonder of Architectural Digest. Other relatives, one being his uncle, would share their love of art in such a way that Ja'mon would try to emulate his style. As his love continued to expand into cartoons and other programmable media, Ja'mon's vision of how he approached art morphed and began to take shape.
As he grew into his own as an artist he attend art seminars and module classes to further his craft. In doing so, Ja'mon found himself convincing his mom to enroll him into the Visual Arts Academy Magnet Program (VAAMP) at Oakland High School.
After learning how to work with more forms of media such as photography, sewing, and airbrushing, Ja'mon revisited one of his first loves completing a summer internship at an architect firm. Although the experience didn't lead towards a partnership at a firm, he parted with newly acquired skills and knowledge such as Auto CAD, building renovations, meeting staging, and creating blueprints.
After graduating Oakland High, Ja'mon was accepted into the Graphic Design program at the California College of Arts (formerly known as California College of Arts and Crafts) where he honed his skills further and gained more including screen printing, sculpting, and multimedia. Upon exiting CCA he continued to take courses at local community colleges as he seen the vision of what we wanted to do in the end - incorporate all the skills he learned over the years and implement them into a business unlike any other. Thus, the North Pole Graphix seeds were planted.
